Results of the symposium “Europe on the path of responsible pet ownership” (Berlin 7th September)

Sulzbach / Ts. / Berlin, September 7, 2016 – Development of the illegal puppy trade, overcrowded shelters and unnecessary costs in the countries and communities: Many problems in the pet area are the result of the lack of uniform system for the identification and registration of dogs and cats. To discuss this topic a symposium was organized by the animal welfare organization TASSO e.V. and the animal welfare officer of the Saarland, Dr. Hans-Friedrich Willimzik. The symposium was held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the representation of the Saarland in Berlin. Co-organizers were the European Association of Animal Register Europetnet and the animal welfare organization Four Paws Germany. (German)
